Michelle Alamo, CIT Elected to Board of Directors of the National Association of Women in Construction – Detroit Chapter

DETROIT, Mich., (August 23, 2006) – Dickinson Wright attorney Michelle L. Alamo, CIT was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). Serving a membership of more than 5,000 with 197 chapters in almost every U.S. state and internationally, NAWIC's core purpose is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry. Alamo will begin her 2006-2007 board term in September. Michelle L. Alamo practices in the areas of commercial and business litigation and construction in the Firm's Detroit office. She is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction and of the Michigan and Detroit Metropolitan Bar Associations. Alamo is also a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction. She received her B.S.E.E. from Kettering University and her J.D. (summa cum laude) from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Alamo also recently earned her Construction Industry Technician certification from the NAWIC Education Foundation, in conjunction with Clemson University.
