Lansing Attorney Gains New Management Responsibilities with Dickinson Wright PLLC

Dickinson Wright PLLC has appointed Kester K. So, a Lansing attorney, as leader of the Firm's Regulatory and Municipal Finance practice department. His appointment was effective last month. "Dickinson Wright places a strong emphasis on practice management , and Kester So, who also is a member of the Firm's Governing Board, will serve the Firm and its clients well in managing the affairs of this important practice department. " said James A. Samborn, Dickinson Wright's CEO. In his new role as leader of the Firm's Regulatory and Municipal Finance department, So will oversee telecommunications, energy, gaming, insurance, municipal and municipal finance matters. So has served as bond counsel for several large long-term financings for Michigan Public Power Agency (a joint action agency), the State Building Authority and the Michigan Tobacco Settlement Finance Authority. He developed the Commercial Paper Program as an interim financing mechanism, and has served as counsel to the Michigan Public Power Agency, Michigan Municipal Electric Association and various municipal electric utilities.
