Krause Recognized by Defense Research Institute with Louis B. Potter Award

DETROIT, Mich. (October 10, 2006) – Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Robert S. Krause, a member of the Firm’s commercial and product liability litigation practices, is this year’s recipient of the Louis B. Potter Award from the Defense Research Institute. The group is the largest defense bar organization in the country with 22,000 members. The Potter Award recognizes the attorney who demonstrates the highest professionalism and service to the legal community. The award is bestowed annually and recognizes only one attorney nationally. Some of Mr. Krause’s accomplishments at Dickinson Wright include representing Eli Lilly & Company in their oral contraceptive, DES, and Oraflex litigation; serving as Ford Motor Company’s national counsel for asbestos litigation; representing W.R. Grace & Co. in its personal injury and property damage asbestos litigation; and representing Bristol-Myers, Squibb in breast implant and other litigation. In addition to serving on the board of directors of the Defense Research Institute, Mr. Krause is past president of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, a member of the Michigan Supreme Court Standard Civil Jury Instruction and is on the board of directors of the Michigan State Bar Negligence Section International Association of Defense Counsel. A Bloomfield Hills resident, Mr. Krause holds a bachelor of arts degree from St. John’s University and a L.L.B. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
