Attorney Kester So Elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Council of the Public Corporation Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Kester K. So, a member in the firm’s Lansing office, was recently re-elected to a three-year term on the Council of the Public Corporation Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and was elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Council. Mr. So is a long-time member of the council and served as its Chairperson in 2005-2006. The Public Corporation Law Section includes approximately 600 in-house and out-house attorneys representing municipalities, agencies and authorities throughout Michigan.

Mr. So is a member of the firm’s management group and specializes in municipal finance, where he has served as bond counsel or underwriter’s counsel on a wide variety of bond issues, including bonds for health care, public power, higher education, transportation, unemployment insurance, tax increment financing, state revolving fund environmental, school bond loan fund, state and local building authorities, airports, water and sewer, solid waste disposal and economic and industrial development bonds. He received his A.B. from the University of Michigan with high distinction and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
