Attorney Kerry Harvey Featured in Article on Louisville Metro Police Probe

In a recent article “Former U.S. Attorney Kerry Harvey to lead Louisville police probe,” published in the Lexington Herald-Leader, the mayor of Louisville, Ky., on asked the FBI to investigate potential violations of federal law in a case involving sexual abuse charges made against two city police officers. The mayor appointed Kerry Harvey (Member, Lexington), to conduct the probe. The lawsuit, which was sealed, was filed on behalf of the man who joined the Louisville Metro Police Youth Explorers program. Kerry is to investigate whether “errors were made” in the police department’s response to allegations of abuse in its Youth Explorers program, which is run by the department and the Boy Scouts and is for teenagers interested in becoming police officers.
