Attorney Kathleen Lang Elected to the Board of Governors for the International Society of Barristers

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Kathleen Lang has been elected to the Board of Governors for the International Society of Barristers.

Ms. Lang is the firm’s Director of Strategic Development and a Member of the firm’s Detroit office. With over 25 years of experience, she has successfully represented clients in business litigation, class actions, intellectual property litigation, as well as environmental and personal injury defense. Ms. Lang has tried and arbitrated cases in federal and state forums throughout the United States and abroad, and counsels clients in litigation avoidance and pre-litigation strategy. Ms. Lang is a frequent lecturer and author of civil litigation topics and litigation skill, and is involved in leadership roles in many state and national bar organizations, and trial lawyer honorary societies. She received her B.A. from Michigan State University and her J.D. from the University of Detroit Law School.

The International Society of Barristers was created in 1965 and is dedicated to preserving trial by jury, the adversary system and an independent judiciary. The Society’s membership consists of Fellows from every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, as well as Australia, Canada, England, Scotland, and Ireland. Membership to the Society is by invitation only, and follows a rigorous screening process that considers the lawyer’s ability, experience, accomplishments and ethical standards as assessed by trial lawyers and judges familiar with the candidate.
