Attorney John G. Cameron, Jr. Profiled in Grand Rapids Legal News about NCARB Role

In the article, “Cameron to fill distinctive role, help architects meet public safety charge”, Dickinson Wright Attorney John G. Cameron, Jr., talks to Legal News Reporter Cynthia Price about his recent appointment as a public director for the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).

Mr. Cameron is the only one non-architect chosen from the entire nation to serve on the 14-member governing body. He says that the function of NCARB is to “assist the architecture boards with their charge of regulating the practice of architecture, including development of testing and standards.” A committee structure allows for full utilization of different areas of expertise, and Mr. Cameron will serve on some of those committees.

Mr. Cameron is a Member in Dickinson Wright’s Grand Rapids office. About his latest position at NCARB, Mr. Cameron comments, “It’s a breath of fresh air for me. I love what I do, I love my job and thoroughly enjoy working for the clients I have, but this is something totally different, and it’s fun.”
