Franchise Lawyer Edward (Ned) Levitt Joins Dickinson Wright LLP as a Partner

Dickinson Wright LLP is pleased to announce that Franchise Lawyer Edward (Ned) Levitt has joined the firm’s Toronto office as a Partner, effective immediately.

Mr. Levitt is a leading authority in franchising and distribution law with over 35 years of experience in the field. He has represented some of the world’s foremost franchises, and provides legal services to Canadian and international clients on all aspects of Canadian franchise law. Mr. Levitt is a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising, the Canadian Franchise Association, the International Bar Association, and the International Franchise Association.

Mr. Levitt is a prolific writer, having published numerous books, papers and articles on franchise and distribution law, including Canadian Franchise Legislation. He has contributed articles to numerous business and industry publications, including Canadian Business Magazine, The Franchise Voice, the ABA’s Franchise Law Journal, the IBA’s Journal of Franchising and Distribution Law, Ontario Restaurant News and The Bottom Line.

Mr. Levitt has been recognized as a leader in his field by The Best Lawyers in Canada, Who’s Who Legal: The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers, and is named to the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He received his B.A. from York University, his J.D. from the Osgoode Hall Law School, and he is a Certified Franchise Executive.
