Dickinson Wright PLLC Named Tops In Pro Bono Service

Dickinson Wright PLLC was recently rated as one of the top firms in Michigan by hours of pro bono service provided to low-income individuals or organizations. The ranking, published in the State Bar of Michigan's "Michigan Bar Journal", placed Dickinson Wright as one of the leading firms in Detroit as measured by The Pro Bono Involvement Committee (PBIC) of the State Bar of Michigan. The PBIC was formed as a result of an initiative established by former State Bar President James K. Robinson in 1991. The initiative encourages law firms to adopt written policies for their lawyers regarding pro bono work. Dickinson Wright has such a policy and encourages its attorneys to participate actively in counseling those individuals or organizations in need. "We are extremely proud of our appearance on the list of the Pro Bono Circle of Excellence", said James A. Samborn, Dickinson Wright CEO. "Recognizing the needs of the less fortunate in the practice of law is a baseline requirement. This rating simply validates what we practice every day and emphasize with all of our attorneys." Dickinson Wright, founded in 1878, is celebrating 125 years of serving its clients and efficiently and creatively meeting their legal and business needs. The firm was recently recognized by Corporate Board Member magazine as one of Michigan's leading corporate firms. Dickinson Wright has offices in Detroit, Bloomfield Hills, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Washington D.C.
