Dickinson Wright and Resolution Services Center of Central Michigan Announces Pro Bono Collaboration with Community Dispute Resolution Program Centers

Dickinson Wright PLLC and Resolution Services Center of Central Michigan (RSCCM) are pleased to announce a mediation/pro bono collaboration with 18 Community Dispute Resolution Program (CDRP) Centers in Michigan.

“Dickinson Wright is committed to supporting and engaging in pro bono activities, and providing pro bono representation in the state of Michigan,” says Sherry O’Neal Taylor, the firm’s Pro Bono Coordinator. “The collaboration with RSCCM gives our attorneys the opportunity to give back to their communities while donating their time and expertise to CDRP centers throughout Michigan. We are excited to begin this partnership and assist individuals who cannot afford legal services in attaining solutions to their legal issues.”

The collaboration between RSCCM and Dickinson Wright establishes a pro bono program where Dickinson Wright attorneys will donate their time and skills as mediators to assist CDRP Center clients resolve their legal matters.

The CDRP program was established by statute in 1988. The 18 CDRP Centers throughout Michigan provide mediation services to the communities they serve, in a wide variety of subject areas including civil law, domestic, elder law, and special education. Mediation and conciliation services provided by RSCCM gives individuals, businesses and attorneys a means to resolve disputes that are alternatives to the judicial process.
