Dickinson Wright Receives DuPont Challenge Award

4/1/2002
DETROIT, MICHIGAN - Dickinson Wright was named as one of a select number of firms to receive DuPont's 2001 Challenge Award at DuPont's Primary Law Firm Annual Meeting in March. According to DuPont Senior Vice President and General Counsel Stacey J. Mobley, this award recognizes the firm "as one of the best among an already elite group of DuPont Primary Law Firms." According to Mobley, Dickinson Wright was presented a Challenge Award based on a lengthy set of achievements, including its "outstanding commitment to diversity in the legal profession, cost-effectiveness in the delivery of legal services and savings to DuPont, contributions in the area of technology, sustained support of the DuPont Legal Model and leadership in organizing the DuPont Minority Counsel Conference in Detroit." Dickinson Wright attorney Robert S. Krause was also honored with the DuPont Legal Leaders Circle Award, a new award distinguishing him as one of only two attorneys throughout the network who best demonstrate the spirit of the DuPont Legal Model. Krause, a long-time member of Dickinson Wright, has served as counsel to DuPont since 1992, along with member Joseph C. Marshall III. The DuPont Legal Model, established in 1992, launched an extensive "convergence process" that narrowed DuPont's more than 350 law firms to a select group of 39 Primary Law Firms. According to DuPont's legal web site, www.dupontlegalmodel.com, DuPont has chosen to partner with "outstanding firms that matched our needs and standards for high-quality service." Dickinson Wright is DuPont's only law firm in Michigan. Dickinson Wright PLLC is a full service law firm with five offices in Michigan and one in Washington, D.C., with nearly 200 attorneys practicing in more than 35 specialty areas.
