Dickinson Wright's Music Row Closes Red Vinyl Music LLC Deal

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that members of the Music Row-based Entertainment, Sports, and Media Practice Group recently closed the catalog sale between firm client and independent music publishing firm Red Vinyl Music, LLC and music rights management company Ole Music Management, LP.

Music Row’s Derek Crownover, Cam Caldwell and Dustin Kovacic negotiated the transaction which included Red Vinyl Music’s catalog of approximately 3,500 songs including several #1 Billboard Airplay songs. Some of the hits included in the sale were “Highway Don’t Care”, “Truck Yeah” by Tim McGraw, “Buy Me a Boat”, “Holding Her”, and “Power of Positive Drinkin’” by Chris Janson, “Neon Light” by Blake Shelton, “I Love This Life” by LoCash, “Redneck Crazy” by Tyler Farr, “This Town”, “Tell Me” and “Dreams” as performed on the hit television show Nashville.

Red Vinyl Music is the partnership between long-time producer Byron Gallimore, and high-profile trial lawyers Jim Wilkes and Tim McHugh. Established in late 2010, the Nashville, Tennessee-based independent publisher represents songwriters Chris Janson, Mark Irwin, and Pavel, as well as Streamsound Records artists Dakota Bradley, Austin Webb, Jaida Dreyer, and Dave & Julia Carlson. Red Vinyl Music has placed songs with artists Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Lee Brice, Keith Urban, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Jake Owen, and Craig Morgan, just to name a few.
