Dickinson Wright Member and Client Service Director Edward H. Pappas Given Professionalism Award

Edward H. Pappas, a Dickinson Wright PLLC member and the firm's Client Service Director, recently was honored as co-recipient of the Oakland County Bar Association's (OCBA) 2007-2008 Professionalism Award. Mr. Pappas was given the award at the OCBA's 74th Annual Meeting. According to the OCBA, the Professionalism Award was established as part of the OCBA's ongoing campaign to reinforce and illustrate the importance of civility, professionalism and adherence to the fundamental values of the legal profession. Recipients are members who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and/or judicial practice. Mr. Pappas is a past president of OCBA and the current president-elect of the State Bar of Michigan. He is a certified mediator and a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, and is on the roster of neutral commercial litigation arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association. He has served on the board of trustees of Oakland Mediation Center, and on the board of trustees and as president of the former Oakland Livingston Legal Aid. He received both his B.B.A. in Business Administration and his J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Michigan.
