Dickinson Wright Member and Chief Diversity Officer W. Anthony Jenkins Elected 76th President of the State Bar of Michigan

W. Anthony Jenkins was sworn in on September 30th as the 76th President of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Jenkins is the sixth Dickinson Wright Attorney and fourth African American to be elected as President of the State Bar.

For nearly 30 years, Mr. Jenkins has distinguished himself as a lawyer, mentor, author and champion for diversity.

He has been listed in Michigan Super Lawyers (2007) and Best Lawyers in America (2011), and is a Martindale-Hubbell top-ranked attorney amongst his peers. He is the recipient of both the Spirit of Detroit Award and multiple Service Awards from the American Bar Association.

Mr. Jenkins has been chosen by his peers to be president of the State Bar of Michigan. This selection recognizes his passion for law, his integrity, his professionalism, and a willingness to dedicate his leadership skills and energy toward enhancement of the legal profession and its promise of fair and equal justice on behalf of the citizens of Michigan.
