Dickinson Wright PLLC attorney Richard (Rick) D. Jordan will serve as the guest speaker at the University of Texas fall commencement ceremony for the school's College of Natural Sciences. Commencement will take place on December 6, 2009. Mr. Jordan is a Member of Dickinson Wright's Intellectual Property practice group, practicing in the firm's Washington D.C. office. He specializes in patent law in the chemical and biochemical areas, with particular emphasis on renewable energy. Mr. Jordan is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the Advisory Council and Energy Task Force at the University of Texas, and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and in the District of Columbia and State of Virginia. Mr. Jordan received a B.A. in microbiology from the University of Texas, a B.S. in chemical engineering from Louisiana State University, and his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
