Dickinson Wright PLLC attorney Michael T. Raymond recently served as a moderator for the IT/Technology panel at the 2010 Michigan Growth Capital Symposium. Mr. Raymond, a member in the firm's Ann Arbor office, is Practice Department Manager for the firm's Corporate, Securities, Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity and International Law practice areas. According to the Symposium Web site, The Michigan Growth Capital Symposium (MGCS) is "the premiere event where deals get done and financiers meet the 'Best of the Midwest' in new businesses and emerging technologies." MGCS 2010 was held at the Marriott Resort in Ypsilanti, Michigan and marked the Symposium's 29th anniversary. The Symposium brought together more than 400 attendees, including investors from across the country, executives of early stage and emerging growth companies, and related stakeholders. The event was presented by the Zell Lurie Institute's Center for Venture Capital & Private Equity Finance at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in partnership with the Michigan Venture Capital Association and with support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
