Dickinson Wright attorney Kevin J. O'Dowd has been elected President of the Western Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association for the 2007-2008 term, beginning in mid-October. O'Dowd is a Member in Dickinson Wright's Grand Rapids office. His areas of practice emphasis include Commercial and Business Litigation, Construction, Municipal and Real Estate Litigation. O'Dowd is former Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Litigation Section; a Trustee of the Grand Rapids Bar Association; former Chair, Community Relations Committee, Grand Rapids Bar Association; former Member, Continuing Legal Education Committee, Grand Rapids Bar Association; Barrister, American Inns of Court; former Chair, Finance Council, Blessed Sacrament Parish; and a court-approved Mediator (ICLE-certified) and hearing panelist, Attorney Discipline Board. He earned a B. S. degree in environmental science at Purdue University and a J. D. degree from the Indiana University School of Law.
