Ash, Jr. as a member of the litigation practice group in the Detroit and Grand Rapids offices. Mr. Ash began his career at O'Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles and joined Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett in Grand Rapids in 1999, specializing in commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice law in both Michigan and California. He has extensive experience in state and federal courts throughout the country in a wide variety of commercial disputes. His experience ranges from representing world-renowned professional golfer Gary Player in a licensing dispute in Florida to representing a national trucking company in a multimillion dollar dispute with its former insurance carrier in Massachusetts. Mr. Ash is active in both the state and local bar associations. He serves on the Council for the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Michigan and is a member of the Floyd Skinner Bar Association, which is an association of minority attorneys in Grand Rapids. Mr. Ash received a law degree from Stanford University Law School.
