Chairs of IP Litigation Task Force Announced

Washington, D.C. (November 20, 2006) – Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Redway and Robert Kelly as co-chairs of its IP Litigation Task Force. Jon Redway has substantial trial experience before courts throughout the United States in matters involving patents, copyrights (including software structure), theft of trade secrets, trade dress (product configuration, overall visual appearance, and color combination), trademarks, dilution and unfair competition. Mr. Redway is also experienced in Section 337 patent and trademark infringement proceedings before the International Trade Commission. Mr. Redway is a resident in the Firm's Washington, D.C., office. Mr. Redway received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Roanoke College and his J.D. from the National Law Center at George Washington University. Robert Kelly is part of the Firm's Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, office. Mr. Kelly has litigated numerous patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret matters for over 20 years. He is experienced in both bench trials and jury trials. He has extensive experience with Markman hearings and has served as a Federal Court Facilitator and Expert Witness in patent infringement actions. Mr. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Valparaiso University, a master’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Detroit Mercy and a J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. The Task Force will rely heavily on Sam Littlepage, a resident in the firm's Washington, D.C., office, who is a nationally recognized expert in litigating trademark disputes. Dickinson Wright now has 30 attorneys principally practicing in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright, technology licensing, IP litigation, Internet law and information technology, including a Member with a Ph.D. in pharmacology and a patent agent with a Ph.D. in biochemistry.
