Canadian-U.S. Trade Expert Daniel D. Ujczo Joins Dickinson Wright

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Daniel D. Ujczo has joined the firm as Of Counsel in our Columbus, Ohio office. He focuses his practice in the areas of administrative and regulatory, corporate, energy and sustainability, international and litigation.
Mr. Ujczo specializes in Canada-U.S. trade and policy matters. He presently advocates on behalf of the Canadian government on Canada-Ohio issues, as well as collaborates with industry associations and public policy experts on matters relating to Canada’s regulatory reform efforts in the energy sector.
Mr. Ujczo previously served as the Economic Relations and Regulatory Affairs Officer at the Consulate General of Canada-Detroit. In this capacity, he was responsible for advancing Canada-U.S. interests in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. He also served as the Managing Director of the Canada-United States Law Institute. an organization of cross-border corporate leaders, legal practitioners, and scholars.
Mr. Ujczo is a member of the Ohio State Bar and American Bar Associations as well as the Columbus Region International Advisory Committee and the Henry T. King Greater Cleveland International Lawyers’ Group. He is Principal and Co-Founder of the Canada-U.S. SAGE Group, a network of international trade law and policy and policy practitioners that provide Canada-U.S. strategies, advocacy, gateways and engagement counsel.
Mr. Ujczo received his B.A. from Ohio State University and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He served from 2001-06 as a career judicial law clerk to United States District Judge Peter C. Economus in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
