Detroit, Mich., August 29, 2007 -- Dickinson Wright real estate attorney Timothy A. Stoepker will speak at the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) Land Use and Development Conference on September 18, 2007, at the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth, Michigan. Michigan's most knowledgeable land-use professionals will share insights on current land-use issues and new planning legislation. Stoepker's presentation will focus on wetlands regulation and litigation. The event is organized by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education and co-sponsored by the Real Property Law and Public Corporation Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan. Timothy A. Stoepker is based at the Detroit office of Dickinson Wright, where he focuses his practice on real estate, construction and commercial and business litigation. He is experienced in the areas including real estate development and litigation; woodlands, wetlands, land use, and zoning; condemnations; drafting of construction contracts; and litigation and arbitration of construction disputes. His experience includes arguing Carabell v Army Corps of Engineers before the United State Supreme Court, and providing counsel to a range of residential, commercial, and industrial developers in rezoning, site plan, special land use, variances, wetland/woodland and infrastructure permits and approvals. Stoepker earned a B.S. degree with honors in History and Political Science from Western Michigan University. He holds a J.D. degree from the University of Detroit School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Zoning and Land Use Committee); a member of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association; a member and the American Bar Association (Construction, Real Estate and Urban Law Sections); a former member of the American Arbitration Association, Construction Section Advisory Board; and was active in the restoration of the Historic Charles C.
