Attorney Barth X. deRosa Named 2012 Washington DC Super Lawyer

Barth X. deRosa is an intellectual property attorney with over 30 years of experience in the practice areas of business technology, copyrights, intellectual property litigation and trademarks. He has successfully prosecuted over 3,000 trademark applications to registration before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, has prosecuted over 400 proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and has provided availability reviews and recommendations for over 8,500 trademarks. Mr. deRosa also has substantial experience in providing due diligence assessments on intellectual property matters in corporate acquisitions and mergers. Mr. deRosa has initiated and assisted in numerous federal court actions for federal trademark infringement, unfair competition, anti-cybersquatting and dilution resulting in favorable outcomes via decision, settlement or consent judgment.

Mr. deRosa is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association's Intellectual Property Sub-Committee, the International Trademark Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is an active member of Vistage, an international organization of Chief Executive Officers. He received a B.A. from George Washington University and a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.
