Worker Misclassification: You Cannot Afford to be Wrong

Federal and state governments have targeted businesses suspected of failing to properly classify workers as employees. Join Dickinson Wright at its next Sunrise Seminar where its distinguished panel of labor & employment attorneys Timothy H. Howlett and Jane M. Feddes as well as representatives Andrew C. Timothy H. Howlett, Dickinson Wright
Tim is the Labor & Employment practice leader at Dickinson Wright. He has practiced labor & employment law with Dickinson Wright for 36 years and is a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers. Tim regularly counsels employers on a wide range of labor & employment issues. He also represents employers in investigations and claims before government agencies. Tim specializes in employment litigation including discrimination, whistleblower, and other claims and has extensive arbitration, trial and appellate experience.

Jane M. Feddes, Dickinson Wright
Jane counsels and defends employers on various employment law and has litigated numerous discrimination cases. She has written a number of articles on employment and labor relations law. She advises clients on statutory compliance issues and personnel policies. Jane earned her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Michigan.

Andrew C. Hans, Principal at BCN Services
Andy is a principal and President of BCN, and has worked in the PEO field for 20 years following work in the financial services industry and receipt of his BBA from the University of Michigan School of Business.

Sue Kester, SPHR-Human Resources Manager at BCN Services
Sue is BCN's Director of Human Resources and heads up the BCN's HR and Compliance departments, dealing with a workforce and client internal HR specialists in 20+ states throughout the U.S. Sue has been in the Human Resources field for over 20 years, the last 6 with BCN. Her prior HR experience was predominantly in the automotive industry. She has attended both Ferris State University and Northwestern Michigan College and has obtained her Senior Professional in Human Resources designation.
