Indigenous Law Issues

Join Dickinson Wright Lawyer Cherie Brant and The Law Society of Upper Canada for Indigenous Law Issues, a seminar on November 25, 2014 in Toronto. The seminar will also be available live on webcast.

Indigenous Law Issues will explore a wide range of topics relevant to anyone who deals with these matters. Presenters, including Cherie Brant, will provide insights and analyses of such issues as land claims, environmental regulations, taxation, and more. Participants will learn the following:

• Recognize the duty to consult and accommodate
• Obtain information on First Nations land tenure and tools for financing
• Acquire an overview of the Indian Act
