"You Need Intermittent FMLA Leave for Arachnophobia?" - Best Practices for Managing Recurring Challenges with Employee Leaves of Absence

On April 24, 2014, Dickinson Wright Attorney Jeffrey Beemer will present “You Need Intermittent FMLA leave for Arachnophobia? – Best Practices for Managing Recurring Challenges with Employee Leaves of Absence” to the Davidson County Chapter of Middle Tennessee’s Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Mr. Beemer will address some of the most common employee leave issues, including: managing intermittent leave under the FMLA; addressing employee fraud and abuse of FMLA leave; unpaid leaves of absence under the ADA; caregiver leave; and avoiding retaliation claims. The seminar will also include an update on recent case law in these areas and discuss practical approaches to maintain compliance with the law when confronting these and other challenging issues.
