Crossing Borders: Trade Facilitation and Regulatory Cooperation

The Cross-Border Institute and the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor are hosting a series of breakfast workshops on “Crossing Borders: Trade Facilitation and Regulatory Cooperation”. The first workshop will be held on Thursday, March 20th and feature Dickinson Wright Attorney Dan Ujczo and Laurie Tannous, VP of Government and Industry Relations for Russell Farrow.

This workshop will cover topics, such as:

• Pre-September 11, 2001 Canada-US border and regulatory cooperation initiatives
• A Report Card on trusted trader-shipper-traveler programs such as CTPAT, FAST, and NEXUS
• The Beyond the Border and Regulatory Cooperation Council Process
• Labor Mobility, Immigration, and Trusted Employer Programs
• “Behind the Border” Case Study – The 2014 Food Safety Programs between Canada and the U.S.
• “FSMA/Safe Food for Canadians Act” Case Study
