Association of International Customs and Border Agencies (AICBA) Annual Meeting

The United States and Canada enjoy the world’s largest two-way trading relationship and share the globe’s largest safe and secure border. On June 12, Dickinson Wright Attorney Dan Ujczo will provide keynote remarks at the Association of International Customs and Border Agencies (AICBA) Annual Meeting that will draw the government officials and industry leaders that manage the Canada-U.S. relationship in Detroit, Michigan.

Mr. Ujczo’s keynote remarks will examine Canada-U.S. trade in light of new developments in free trade agreements such as the Canada-EU trade agreement (CETA), the proposed U.S.-EU trade agreement (TTIP), and the TransPacific Partnership (TPP). Mr. Ujczo will also address Canada-U.S. efforts to streamline border security and regulations, as well as labor mobility/immigration initiatives. Other speakers include representatives of U.S. Customs and Border Protection as well as the Canada Border Services Agency.

AICBA is an association of corporations, proprietorships, and partnerships that are carriers of international freight, customs brokers, or international bridge or tunnel operators. AICBA’s purpose is to secure public support in Canada and the United States, to make representations to governments, and to co-ordinate activities with other organizations relating to Canada-U.S. trade.
