2015 CUSBA Cross-Border Economic Forecast Luncheon

CUSBA is hosting our third annual luncheon reviewing the prospects (both positive and negative) for the Canadian and U.S. Economies. Chief Economists from both sides of the border will provide highlights of their expectations for Canada, and the United States in 2015. This event will be held on February 5, 2014 at the Detroit branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

GUEST SPEAKER - Paul Traub is the Business Economist at the Detroit Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago where his responsibilities include both research and current analysis. Traub currently is on the Board of Directors of the Detroit Association of Business Economists and has served as an adjunct faculty member and is on the economics department advisory board in the School of Business Administration at Oakland University. He holds a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan – Dearborn and an M.B.A. from Oakland University.

GUEST SPEAKER - Peter Hall is the Chief Economist for the Export Development Canada (EDC). With over 25 years of experience in economic analysis and forecasting, Mr. Hall is responsible for overseeing EDC’s economic and political risk analysis. In addition to advising senior management at EDC, Mr. Hall is a featured speaker at conferences, international roundtables and policy fora, and regularly appears in television, radio and print media. Prior to joining EDC, Mr. Hall directed the economic forecasting activities of the Conference Board of Canada. Mr. Hall is the immediate past president of the Canadian Association for Business Economics. Mr. Hall has degrees in economics from Carleton University and the University of Toronto.

LUNCHEON SESSION - The luncheon session will provide you with detailed outlooks on the North American and Global economy. Our speakers will explain the specific factors driving economic change in 2015. The program will finish up with a question and answer session. Interview opportunities are available.

Those attending the 2015 CUSBA – CROSS - BORDER ECONOMIC FORECAST event will better understand the impact of projected changes in gross domestic product, employment numbers, inflation and other key economic data for Canada, the United States and the World on you and your business.

POST EVENT COFFEE AND COOKIES - A networking opportunity has been added to provide an opportunity to speak with speakers, session attendees, and the CUSBA Board of Directors. Tours of the Fed building will also be available.
