Dickinson Wright Attorneys to Address Legal Essentials for Emerging Businesses at Entrepreneur's Network Breakfast

April 24 2007

Tuesday, April 24, 2007, 8 – 9:30 a.m.
Wayne State University "TechTown", 440 Burroughs, Detroit

Three seasoned legal professionals from Dickinson Wright will discuss Legal "Gottahaveits" for the Emerging Business -- a sound legal structure, effective capital raising and value-enhanced intellectual property positioning.

The session will address several classic concerns of entrepreneurs:

• How do I set up my legal entity to optimize personal liability protection, management flexibility, control retention, exit strategies and liquidity plans?
• How do I properly conduct a private offering of equity participations in my company in a manner that presents both an attractive investment proposition yet complies with highly complex securities laws?
• How do I develop effective practices and strategies to maximize the overall value of my intellectual property?

Dickinson Wright's experts will discuss the basic ingredients of a solid corporate foundation and successful capital formation plan. They will also discuss the route to an IP infrastructure that maximizes competitive advantages, establishes procedures for early identification and avoidance of infringement risks, and facilitates a powerful brand and internet presence.
