Mark Makower to Moderate ICLE Seminar on the Site Condominium Approval Process

Mark F. Makower
will moderate the ICLE seminar, Homeward Bound: The Site Condominium Approval Process from the Developer and Municipal Perspectives - A View from Both Sides of the Fence seminar being held by the ICLE on Thursday, February 1, 2007. The seminar will be held at The Inn at St. John's in Plymouth, Michigan.
A variety of topics will be covered at this three-hour seminar including:
- Scope of the Condominium Act
- Municipal Approval Authority
- Site Planning Issues
- Infrastruction Issues
- Required Municipal Agreements
About the Moderator
Mark F. Makower is a member in the Bloomfield Hills office of Dickinson Wright PLLC. He counsels several hundred condominium and community associations, developers, contractors, and subcontractors in the areas of real estate development, condominium law, and construction law. Mr. Makower is one of only two Michigan members of the College of Community Association Lawyers, a member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) (serving on its national amicus curae brief writing team), and the current president of the CAI-Michigan Chapter board of directors. He is a past chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan's Real Property Law Section (RPLS) and past chairperson of its Committee on Condominiums, PUDs, and Cooperatives (having led the legislative effort to overhaul the Michigan Condominium Act in 2001-2002). A frequent lecturer for ICLE, RPLS, Lorman, and CAI, Mr. Makower has also authored numerous articles on condominium law for "Michigan Real Property Review," CAI's "Common Ground," and the "Michigan Bar Journal." Mr. Makower has held a Michigan builder's license since 1986 and has more than 30 years of hands-on experience in the construction and development field.
